1. Drill pilot holes
A guide hole is a hole #drilled into the material to form a slot that drives the fastener. The small diameter of these holes prevents the pin from being over-tightened or snapped in half, which helps reduce the shear capacity and significantly reduces it.
2. Determine the appropriate bolt slip clutch settings
The slip clutch is an adjustable collar that controls the torque transmitted to the #bolt head to drive it. It is essential to adjust the bolt's slip clutch settings to match the torque required to operate the fastener. Please set the correct torque to avoid overload, and the slipper clutch setting for cork is different from what is required for hardwood or metal. In the case of the pin, you need a little torque, while metal requires a higher torque setting.
3. Select the auto-centering drill
