How to avoid online phishing ?

Every other day we read news about online scams and often ignore the privacy issues. Here is a simple blog explaining how one, as an individual can avoid this and stay secure maintaining personal and financial life well balanced!

We should avoid signing up for doubtful apps online, login for it or allowing unnecessary access. We can turn off back ups to Google Drive or iCloud for message sharing apps. Using strong and secure VPN is the best way to avoid these complications.

We should not save our card payment information in any browser. On that note, use secure browser like Brave or DuckDuckGo. They don't save our data while surfing on internet also don't run adds to generate revenue.

We often receive fraud calls asking for our OTP when a person claiming he/she is calling behalf of your bank. Such calls are common example where people get trapped.

Millennials and Gen-Z have this common habit of posting our personal information on social media apps for no reason. This can hardly impact our lives and lead to some harsh trouble. Keep our all social accounts private and don't overshare personal information.

Clicking on random links or downloading random files can infect our system with malware and give hackers control of our device, avoid doing this as much as possible.

Last but not the least important topic is having strong password for payment apps or social apps. I can't stressed enough on importance of this. If in case your device get's stolen or something like this, then it's high probability that your personal information and data security gets either public or destroyed.

Conclusion : Internet is a two way sword if you use it wisely is can leverage your growth if not it can destroy everything!
