How to Avoid Getting Served with a Lawsuit

I create estate plans and asset protection strategies for entrepreneurs and real estate investors.
Do not open the door to strangers. Process servers would often lie to get you to open the door. They would pretend to be from the County Assessor's office. They'll usually come to your home in the evening. You should ask them for their supervisor's information and tell them to come back. You should ask who they're looking for. You should say that you're a tenant. Tell them to show you the document if you have a Ring camera.
Another way they trick you into accepting service is to pretend that they're a potential client. They would email you and tell you that they were referred by a friend. Ask them who the friend is so you can thank them.
One process server needed to serve a skiing instructor. He set up an appointment pretending to be a potential student.
Your name should not be on the title of your home. It should be held in a Trust or an LLC, either Wyoming or Alaska.
