What’s the Required Safety Equipment for Laser Cleaning??

While operating laser cleaning equipment, wear protective goggles that are rated for the laser’s particular wavelength or range of wavelengths. Laser safety goggles are designed to protect your eyes from the high-energy light beams that can reflect off any surface and damage the retina. A laser system also requires an air compressor, while our high-power systems are equipped with a water chiller.?

Traditional blasting methods require a long list of equipment, both to perform the task and to minimize the operator’s exposure to hazards (Personal Protection Equipment – “PPE”). Equipment and material requirements include an air compressor to propel the sand/beads, hoses, abrasive media, a full-body protective suit including a helmet with an anti-dust hood, goggles, gloves, hearing protection and an air-purifying respirator.?
