How to Automate Your Work Using AI and Tools

When AI came into the picture, productivity became the sub

This is a run through on how I stopped doing the following that take up my brain space:

1.) I stopped writing tweets

2.) I stopped making content from scratch

3.) I stopped doing TOO MUCH to go viral

What I did instead:

I stopped writing tweets. When AI can automate it.

Rather bombarding you with the process upfront, there are three major steps in automating your social media caption writer.

a. Your source (RSS) - for your topic

b. Your writer (ChatGPT 3.5 API) - who writes tweets

c. Your data storage (Google Sheets for the basics) - where to store

The results need tweaking but this just means you NEVER have to write a tweet from scratch.

By the way, do they still call it tweets?

I stopped making content from scratch. When AI can repurpose it.

Repurposing content is all about taking something that already exists and giving it new life. It starts with doing research using tools like ChatGPT 4's plug-in Voxscript to dig into materials like articles, blogs, videos, and podcasts to pull out the key facts, stats, examples, and main ideas. Instead of starting from a blank page, you extract the juicy nuggets from what's already out there on a topic. ChatGPT conversation of the first step here.

Then you take all these little pieces of content gold and use them like building blocks to craft something new – maybe an article, social media post, or video script that covers the topic from a different angle or for a different audience. The AI helps you quickly find and extract the good stuff so you can focus on the fun part – remixing the content into something fresh. It's like taking a bunch of ingredients from your fridge and whipping up your own new recipe instead of ordering takeout. Repurposing research this way is an awesome hack for creating quality content efficiently. Over time, you can build up a library of keypoints on different topics to mix and match into any kind of content you need down the road.

Here is how to execute

The not-so-secret formula:

+ 3-5 videos per day (TikTok standard)

AI tools: Invideo, Visla (ChatGPT 4 Plug-in), Repurpose.io

+ Post 2 hours before and during peak times

+ Aim for 100% watchtime (this is why carousels are the most effective)

AI tools: Leonardo AI, Canva AI tools, Ideogram AI

+ Trending music = 10k and above in volume

+ Repurpose content

+ SEO hashtag strategy

Turn-out rate = 3 business weeks

Lesson learned

How we did work in the past is no longer working. We've learned to automate a few things on our to-do list to move onto high-level stuff. The traditional 9-5 office job is disappearing. New tech enables faster, more flexible work. Workers now need to quickly pick up new skills, tackle different projects, and collaborate with various teams. Boring tasks are automated, so humans can focus on creative problem-solving AI can't do. Performance is judged on work's impact, not just volume. To succeed, workers must embrace smarter, faster ways of working and stay flexible. The future rewards those who drop old mindsets and adapt.
