How to Automate Social Media Particpation
Of course you can't fully automation social media participation, but you can can automate an important part of it.
AI is not yet to the point where a software robot can impersonate you on social media networks (and the day that happens will likely be the death of social media as we'll all just let our bots talk to each other), but you can automate regular posting.
I use a WordPress plugin titled "Revive Old Post".
Every 8 hours (or so) it randomly grabs a blog post and tweets it out via my twitter account.
It was easy to setup and then it runs on autopilot.
I then get 2 or 3 email's a day about people who liked a tweet, re-tweeted a tweet, and/or now follow me on twitter.
I don't mean to promote this as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it took very little effort on my part to setup, it runs on autopilot, and I get a sense of who appreciates the topics we blog about.
I can also view the Twitter Analytics to get a sense of what topics are most popular in any given month.
All in all, it's been useful.
I'm going to also start sending these updates to my Facebook business page. I'll let you know if I experience a similar level of engagement.
