How to Attract What You Want

During training, Nascar drivers learn not to look at the wall when they bank a corner. When you're going an average of 200 mph, you don’t have time to look anywhere other than where you’re going!?
If they were to look at the wall, what do you think would happen??
They’d crash into it.?
Duh.?
And ouch.
Why am I telling you this? Because it’s good advice for life, too.?
When you focus on how badly things could go, you’re more likely to crash right into the thing you’d most like to avoid.?
The Science of Attraction
Here’s another way to look at it.
According to quantum physics, everything in the universe vibrates and resonates with a unique frequency.?
Resonance occurs when a given system tuned to a certain frequency begins to oscillate with a forced vibration—thinking of what happens when you strike a tuning fork. It there’s a forced vibration at the SAME frequency, both will be increased in amplitude or intensity.?
Even more fascinating, two tuning forks tuned to the same frequency will come together like magnets.
Like attracts like.
You have a vibration, too. Your thoughts have a vibration.
So if you focus on bad shit that could happen then you are magnetizing bad shit to come your way. So STOP IT.
Damn it. I’m serious.
Focus on all the wonderful things that could happen for you.
Now, let’s practice.
Think of all the ways your next sales call COULD GO RIGHT. Think of the most wonderful, fantastic, magnificent things that could happen.
Think of walking into the call, sitting down in a stunningly, beautiful cafe on the ocean with the smell of soft salt air wisping through your locks and they hand you your favorite drink and say, “We love you and want you to have your favorite drink for FREE!”?

“Ahhhh…yes of course,” you think.?
You sip your favorite warm, sweet drink as your prospect glides in and sits across from you. They look you directly in the eyes and say, “I’ve been waiting to have this conversation and I know you can transform my life. I want to pay you double. No triple. NO quadruple!”?
You both laugh and fall into a warm embrace as you become friends for the rest of your life and drive away into the sunset in your brand-new red Lamborghinis.?
OK, I went a little too far, but it’s so fun to daydream! A LOT more fun to think about the exact opposite experience.
Now, picture this…
You walk into the cafe soaking wet because it started to rain, even though the weatherman said NOTHING about rain showers today. As you walk up to the cafe counter, a random kid kicks you in the shin and spills bright orange soda all over your brand new white pants (Motherf…..!).?
After hearing that your favorite drink has been discontinued (how does that even happen?) and paying double what you usually pay for some shit drink you don’t even want, you sit down to realize that the beautiful proposals you printed are still on your kitchen counter in a neat little pile.
“F*ing A!,” you scream.
Nearby an old woman in her Sunday best floral dress scoffs at you, shaking her head in disappointment. You take your seat only to realize that the table is covered in that sticky orange soda and a partially eaten chocolate scone. It has to be from that snot-nosed kid that spilled his drink on your earlier.
“Why is this happening to me?” you think. “I’m f*ing done with this.”?
You look at your watch. It’s 10 minutes after the hour. Your prospect is late. Your phone chimes. It’s your prospect. Your heart races and you attempt to slow down your breathing so your heart doesn’t accidentally burst out of your chest (which would be even messier than orange soda).?
“Hey, I can’t be there today. I realized that I’m just not ready. Sorry.”
You reach down onto the little wobbly cafe table and start to eat the half-eaten chocolate scone. “F*ck me,” you think.?
You Decide
There’s a BIG difference in feelings and vibrations levels of these two imaginary experiences, right? The best part is that they were both created in your head (well, in my head), but you get the idea.?
YOU GET TO DECIDE WHAT SCENARIO YOU WANT TO FOCUS ON.
Focus on the paid-quadruple, work-with-a-badass-client scenario OR goose-egg (zero)-sales and possibly-getting-impetigo-from-eating-a-chewed-up-scone scenario.?
You decide.?
