Do you get anxiety when it comes to recruitment and attracting top talent?
This week I had some great conversations with Roberta Matuson , AKA 'The talent maximiser' who is a leadership expert and author.?We discussed the correlation between leadership in large and small businesses, the importance of managing relationships in the workplace, strategies for attracting and retaining top talent, and the impact of investing in employee development on revenue growth.
Roberta provides advice for CEOs and founders who experience anxiety around recruitment and shares strategies for cutting hiring times in half. She also discusses the red flags to look out for when hiring and emphasises the value of using networks and employee referral programs.
This wasn't just a typical podcast episode what I loved about this episode is the role play that will help any CEO or founder. During the session I asked for advice on mentoring a team member for a leadership role and attracting top candidates to my company. We discussed the importance of clearly defining the traits and expectations of a leader, offering trial periods or acting roles, and providing coaching support.
