How to attract the perfect prospects when they see you on Zoom?

Remember, you are in sales and selling yourself every waking minute of the day.
Every day when I first wake up, I get clean and dressed with a hint of makeup as though I was going off to work for the day, so that I am ready for chats and meetings that come up during my day.
Most meetings are planned, but some are not. And I need to be ready for them, always looking alert and professional.
If you are working from home at your job, you will want to always be dressed and groomed as though you were going to the office.
You never know when there might be a surprise Zoom meeting because something has come up unexpectedly.
Here's a bit of insight:
When we get up, dress up and prepare for our day, we do better work.
Think about it!
Here are some great tips for you to incorporate into your "Zooming"!
1. Make sure you have a neat and tidy background – use the virtual backgrounds. If the virtual background does not work for you, you probably need a bigger video card, so just tidy up your area behind you so your space looks professional on camera.
2. Have a shower and dress clean and neat to present your best self – put your best foot forward. No sloppy sweatshirts or sweaters that make you look like a frump.
3. Always dress professionally.
4. Comb your hair and shave or trim your beard, if you're a guy.
5. Women, apply a little colour to your lips and cheeks and eyes – fix your hair.
6. Do Not EVER DO THIS…
- Chew Gum on camera!
- Eat on camera! Nobody enjoys seeing you gulp and chomp your food. You will lose any chance of ever doing business with anyone in that meeting!
- If you must have a cup of tea handy or a water bottle, minimize how often you sip while on camera.
- Never leave your seat with the camera on! Someone in your family may walk past the camera improperly clothed and be an embarrassment to you.
- Never take a phone call while on camera – turn your camera off!
- If you have background noise, mute yourself! It is common courtesy.
7. Have a professional headshot saved on Zoom, so that when you turn your camera off, people can see who is there.
8. Use your real name on your platform. People do not know who “XYZ Super Hero” is.
9. Be transparent and let people see who you are and let them know your real name.
10. Make sure your internet connection is stable.
11. Use a microphone and do not depend on your computer mike alone. (smart phone headsets work great when you plug them into your computer)
12. Be sure to use a light that shines on your face, so your face is not shaded. -And look straight into the camera...don't have the camera perched way off to the side somewhere.
13. Sit up straight in your seat and do not slouch on the couch or on your bed.
14. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to do all these things. It is all about building that know, like and trust with your fellow attendees. You never know who might want to do business with you.
-Or if your boss is watching you with a critical eye.
15. Remember that if you are in business or working at a job, you are still selling yourself.
