How to attract clients willing to pay your high-ticket fee

One of the biggest complaints I hear is that most enquiries folks get about their programs are from people who can't afford them.
This is probably also why sales trainers tend to focus so much on objection handling... but that's a whole topic on its own. ??
So here are some strategies that you can use right now to get people who are in a position to pay your high-ticket fee to reach out to you instead.
1. Get clear on exactly who you serve
If you're not clear on who your best-fit client is then your audience most certainly won't know.
Let's take a look at a business coach for example.
If they say they help people start, grow and scale their businesses (I see this ALL the time) and talk mostly about growing a business but using language that resonates with beginners then who do you think they are most likely to attract?
Beginners starting out in business - yes.
What do many beginners not have?
A lot of money to invest.
If you have a $10k program about starting, growing and scaling a business then those beginners are going to find it difficult to pay for that program. (side note - you'll likely have a lot of people not finishing or not getting results too and this is a red flag for those of you looking for help with starting, growing or scaling your business. I'll explain in another post)
But if you were to focus on people who had passed the startup phase and were growing their business from say $5k - $10k per month and you used language that resonates with them then you'll get a lot more enquiries from exactly that kind of person.
2. Get clear on the outcome you provide
This actually ties into point 1. If you're not clear on who you serve then you can't be clear on what outcome you provide because different people will get different results - which of course makes it difficult to confidently state exactly what outcome working with you will provide.
When you narrow down your WHO you can figure out what they WANT and reverse engineer your process to offer them exactly that.
Most coaches & expert tend to use vague terms in their marketing like "I'll help you live your best life" Ok well, that sounds great but what does it mean? Better relationships with partner & kids or get the job I want?
Or "I'll help strong women end their self-sabotage" Ok, awesome but what's the end goal? What will ending self-sabotage do for those women? Get 4 new clients a month? Attract their soulmate? Get a promotion?
3. Make sure you're building your audience with the RIGHT people
This one amazes me... so many coaches out there don't have a strategy to build their audience.
They wait for people to somehow find them by commenting in groups and posting content on their FB page.
And if they do send friend requests/connection requests then they send them to random people instead of people who look like they could become potential clients.
If you don't have an audience filled with people who COULD become clients then you'll have no one to sell to.
I recommend to my clients that they send 40 friend requests per day on FB and 100 connection requests per week (which is the max) or 20 per day on LinkedIn and work on building an email list as early as possible.
This way, you always have fresh new eyes on your content.
4. Use their language
To make your content resonate with the person who you want to have reach out you've got to use THEIR language. How would THEY say it?
Too often I see coaches evolve and change their market from beginner to more advanced but because they haven't yet worked with the more advanced folks they haven't learnt their language yet so of course, they keep attracting the beginners they are trying to move away from!
Or these coaches tend to use industry jargon and language that goes waaaay over their ideal clients head so their market can't understand that this coach can actually help.
Spend time in groups with these people. See how they talk about their problems, their situations. Get on calls with them and pay attention to how they talk and what they say.

5. Be more intentional with your content and make sure it has ONE point related to how to solve a problem.
There's so much "fluffy" content out there with no real point. It's almost like folks use social media as their journal to get thoughts out of their heads.
They will start a post with something like "CHOICES" and ramble on about choices and how they affect your life... with no real point and not tying it in to how they can help solve a problem.
Or they share a lot of motivational or inspirational posts.
You want to make your content clear, concise and related to the work you do with your clients.
Think of it from your audiences point of view and more specifically, your ideal client's point of view.
Your market doesn't care about what you're good at, how many certificates you have and all your thoughts about choices.
What they care about is how it all relates to them and what THEY WANT.
With my content framework we get right to the point in each post:
Eg: "You've been taught that boundaries are necessary but here's why setting boundaries can actually be bad for you"
Eg: "You actually shouldn't ever need to "handle objections" because you should only be talking to prospects who have been pre-sold on your solution and ready to buy. Here's how you can do that..."
The other way we do it is through the use of stories and analogies because stories tend to stick in people's brains.
This way of writing is really simple - even fun. And it results in attracting the clients you want!
There is a lot more that I could share to attract many more of the right enquiries and therefore clients through social media but I wanted to speak to some of the biggest ones.
