How Artists on the Autism Spectrum are Earning a Dignified Livelihood and Breaking Stereotypes ????

As we step into World Autism Awareness month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and understanding about autism, we are honored to shine a spotlight on a group of incredibly talented artists who weave magic with every brushstroke.?

An American financial services organisation trusted us with a massive project to decorate their Pune office with vibrant paintings. Out of the selected 31 artists, 17 are on the Autism Spectrum. From Ansh Batra and Basil Verghese to Sarang Jaltare and Paawan Singh Bhatia, every artist expressed feelings of vibrancy, tranquillity, and curiosity through vibrant colours and natural landscapes. Each painting tells a unique story, inviting viewers to explore and interpret the emotions behind them.?

The P&G Exhibition in Hyderabad also witnessed the incredible talents of three artists with Autism. Dhruv Tikoo painted Kintsugi to embrace objects that are broken. Kabir Vernal brought a painting called Still I rise to life that celebrated perseverance and dedication along with another artwork titled Snowy Mountains that paid homage to the purity of peaks. The Starry Night by Varun Naren was also exhibited at the event.

Our belief in the power of art to inspire and create meaningful change is evident in how the lives of artists on the autism spectrum have transformed. The earnings generated from their artwork not only support their artistic pursuits but also contribute to their financial independence and overall well-being. With each purchase made through our platform, you are not just acquiring a piece of art; you are investing in the dreams and aspirations of these incredible artists.

Kabir Vernal wants to buy more paint accessories while Rupak Manje paid his college fee with the remuneration he received for his work. Another artist Hrishikesh Vispute expressed, “Earnings from AA helped me for managing my drawing set up expenses Thanks for all the opportunity given. Love you Vineet bhaiya.”

Above all, the people who feel the most pure and unconditional joy by seeing such artists succeed are their parents. They are often moved to tears when speaking about the impact of independent livelihood on their children on the Autism Spectrum.

Basil’s mother said, “As a parent, I feel elated when his works are appreciated and when he gets remuneration from it. It's wonderful to see the joy and pride in Basil's eyes when his works are selected for art exhibitions or when he gets commissioned work. For us it's a dream come true.”
