AI Scams
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a powerful tool that can be used for good or evil. In recent years, there has been a rise in AI scams, where criminals use AI to trick people into giving them money or personal information.
One of the most common types of AI scams is the voice cloning scam. In this scam, criminals use AI to create a voice that sounds like a loved one. They then call the victim and pretend to be that loved one, in distress and needing money. The victim is often so shocked and worried that they send the money without question.
Another type of AI scam is the deepfake scam. In this scam, criminals use AI to create a fake video or image of a person. They then use this video or image to impersonate that person and commit fraud. For example, they might create a fake video of a CEO announcing a stock split, in order to drive up the price of the stock.
