Known for his mesmerizing artwork, Lorenzo Quinn 's creations gripped me effortlessly. I was excited to admire part of his work in person and when the time came, not only I gave in to their beauty instantly, but I also reached a point of a greater clarity.

Puzzle’s pieces that added up and everything made sense.

Riveting hands, upstretched bodies of two lovers and representations of people embracing themselves… all these sculptures where there, to remind me the importance of choice and the power I truly have, to do things in a great way even if I never manage to do what conventional standards deem as ‘’great things’’.

But it wasn’t just that, Mr. Quinn’s work, not only visualizes the innate human need for connection and affection but the importance of solidarity and its dynamics.

Art, not self-restrict by its beauty, speaks to our minds and souls. Sometimes, it shows us a perspective. Some others, narrate to us a romantic story or maybe a drama. But in its greatest and most glorious times, unfold for us a vision.

It urges us to follow a path that we may need to take all together but each of us will walk on his own, while making his own steps and his own decisions.

That’s why we are in need of more artists who are born to convey meaningful ideas and ethics through their work, evoking deep feelings and addressing local or global pressing issues. Visionaries whose work drives change, inspires inclusion, and ignites action for a better world.

Art, I realized, shapes how we perceive and respond to an everlasting promise – to stay compassionate humans, stewards of this planet and preserve our home, for the generations yet to grace this Earth.
