HOW TO ARCHIVE YOUR DREAMS

Most people are good in starting something, but very poor in finishing. There are lots of reasons why people give up on their dreams, but it’s proven that the “ If i fail what will people say?” question is the reason why most dreams never see the light of the day. We humans are social creatures of habit, we tend to be influenced by the community or the people we are found with.

What feelings do you fave when a teacher, parent, spouse, family member or any other person shows an open disapproval about you and your ideas? I bet you that it’s a feeling of doubt. It may not be noticeable on first occurrence but if your personality and ideas get rejected or disapproved over and over long enough you will definitely begin to doubt those ideas and yourself. I came to understand that most dreams are aborted not because of lack of resources, but rather because of doubt. Your dream is a seed and by itself it has no roots or stamina to withstand the storms of disapproval, rejection and even natural life tragedies. It is therefore your responsibility to water it and even protect it for it to eventually germinate into a dream. The question is how do you ARCHIVE your dreams? Note the steps bellow:

i) Be convinced about your idea.

Without conviction you will be like ship at the shore without an anchor, sooner or later the waves of family, societal and cultural persuasion will sweep you away to anywhere a.k.a nowhere. You will definitely encounter situations which are turf in the course of pursuing your dreams, but it’s only how convicted you are that you will survive. Has the dream taken roots deep into your heart? The mistake many people make today is that they receive a vision, dream, idea from God and immediately start running with it without any preparation or conception. Imagine a baby is enrolled into baby class today and tomorrow he graduates from the University, that is not possible. The same is true with an idea or dream, there is need for serious planning until you become 100% convinced.

ii) Gain clarity on your dream

Most people rush into starting something without proper planning.What are you to do precisely, when, how, where and for who? The answers to these questions give you clarity and direction for proper preparation.

iii) Thou-rally research

This is the gestation proper. You feed your mind with the idea, you seriously research on what others have done similar and most importantly find mentors and submit to them so as to grow. Remember if you don't have a mentor, then you have no feathers to fly higher. A good example from the Bible is Apostle Paul. We may think after his encounter on his way to Damascus, he immediately set out to fulfill his purpose, Rather after his eyes were opened he spent another 13 to 14 years studying and receiving direct revelations from Jesus Christ. No wonder he is the greatest Apostle in spite all what he went through.

iv) Put the resources together & finally set out to fulfill the dream.

After the three steps are properly accomplished, i can assure you, you are set to archive your dreams. With this simple lessons, you can become anything and anyone you have been dreaming to become. Good luck.

In conclusion

Don’t just set out, prepare yourself first. Don’t be intimidated nor focus on what other people say, rather focus on developing your dream (idea). Mind those whom you confined in during this period when your idea is still fragile and watch your inner circle and the type of information you consume.
