How APT Provides The Most Industry Relevant Training

How APT Provides The Most Industry Relevant Training

Over the years the APT business has grown and changed. And while training is a huge part of what we do and why we exist, it’s not the only thing we do. APT offers many specialist hydraulic services and being so involved in the industry is one of the reasons we know that our training is going to help you achieve in your career, and stay safe in the process.?

So what other services do we offer and how do these keep our skills up to date and ready to share our knowledge with every student that walks into the workshop??

  1. On-site Technical Support: Have you ever had an issue with a hydraulic system that just never seems to go away? No matter what you do, or how much maintenance the machine gets, it just won’t run efficiently or stay operational between maintenance periods? Sometimes you could have you entire team working on the machine and still not find the solution. That’s why the APT team are the hydraulics specialists, we get called in to provide technical support to deal with these tricky problems. An example of this was one time when our founder Al was onsite for training and he spotted the entire senior team gathered around a machine that wasn’t working. Within a few minutes he was able to pinpoint the valve that was causing all of their machines to break, even when this team had spent months trying to fix the problem. This diagnostic knowledge is then something we can pass onto our students if they are experiencing a similar issue onsite, so that they can become the next fluid power guru.
  2. Custom Solutions: That valve story doesn’t just end there with a simple diagnosis, APT helps craft custom solutions for our clients as well. What ended up happening was that we developed a custom valve that could better manage the work that the machine was doing. No more valve issues for that client with the new one fitted. Custom solutions show that not only are we able to diagnose issues but we also can create solutions, even if they may not have even existed before. This is a skill we pass onto our students as well, because we know that the future of hydraulics is going to involve new and custom solutions as the systems become more complex to support electric motors. Isn’t this the kind of skill you need to have on site??
  3. Design and Simulation: APT helps provide design and simulation support to smaller companies, so we see the real problems that exist in our industry as they happen. This means APT doesn't just focus on the training basics, we can help guide those of you who are more experienced as well. There is a big difference between working on the tools and working with design and we can help provide guidance whether you are starting out with a short course or moving onto something more complex like your Advanced Diploma.?
  4. Custom Courses: Not only do we help new designs come to life we can then develop custom courses to help rollout training to the whole team. That means we don’t just understand the theory of what we teach but we also understand how it needs to be brought on site. This means we strive to help you become competent enough that you can apply your learning in new situations as well as familiar ones.?

As you can see all the work our team does outside of our normal training blocks helps them make our training even more effective. Whether you are working with our team onsite in your workplace or if you’ve come to visit us in the workshop, you know that you are receiving up-to-date and industry relevant training.?

Stay tuned for more industry insights in next week's Fluid Power Friday.?
