How to be appreciative?


1. Pay attention to the world around you


Sometimes due to the lack of intention you don’t notice some incredible things around you. So first make it your habit to get a load of your surroundings, sniff the magical aroma of flowers, look at the dew drops in grass and get amazed how beautiful the nature is. Learn to appreciate the things by paying attention to them, once they get notice by you, you wont help appreciating and praising them.


2. Stop being techy


Since emergence of technologies in our lives, we have annoyingly dunked ourselves in it and that is why spending a larger part of time with machines we have taken their traits too, we have become mechanical, so you need to come back to your human mode and for this you have to keep the use of mobile or tab at bay. Set your routine in a way that you spend more time with your family and friends. You will feel pleased and will be at ease as the amount of fun will be huge, you would naturally love to appreciate the little things that are of great efficacy such as by spending less time with your phone you will be able to have lot more to do, this lot more will be soon glorified by you, you just need to discover it. How can one appreciate when one remains absorbed in wrong place?


3. Spend time with kids


Kids have the art to teach us how to be appreciative because kids unlike us are great at showing gratitude, they don’t need a huge thing to be appreciative, they can get happy at the slightest size of candy too, so you must spend a little time with kids and you will learn the art of appreciating things and people.


4. Don’t compare yourself people above you


When you start comparing yourself with others who for some reason are forward than you in life, then an element of negativity is found in you so just cut that feeling out and don’t compare yourself with others, this negativity and thanklessness will get you nowhere, there is no destination of thanklessness! You will be at ease as soon as you as you start keeping your self at bay from this emotional disease.


5. Compare yourself people below you


Look at the people around you who do not have what you have in your life, some you will find jobless, some you will find are worried how they will return the debt, some you will find leading a lonely life and then you think at this note that despite having a job you wont stop repining against life and circumstances, then you will know the worth of all that you have!

Your wise guideline Amer Kayyal are useful. Thanks for sharing! I would like to specify my personal opinion about one of your advice. I may add that I like to be surrounded with people that are ahead of me in my Mission as I feel up lifted (and not jealous). These like minded business owners inspire me and motivate me. And I also received compliments from them about my lifestyle, they “envy” on an healthy way. I mean I inspire them to be more aware of their lifestyle habits and help them being aware of what’s missing in their life. So, in the end, we BOTH inspire each other, and on different topics... What’s your opinion ?
