As marketers and business leaders, we are surrounded by metrics, engagement tools, and new approaches to collecting and interpreting data. But how do we know what metrics are worth measuring??
Well, glad you asked! ??
Here's a quick five-point checklist that we use here at OneIMS to analyze marketing performance for our clients and ourselves.?
#1 is traffic
The first thing you should do is see how much traffic your site currently gets. This will be a good indication of its online health and can also help identify which channels are stronger than others so that you know where your efforts should go next.
#2 is a conversion rate
It is believed that there is a certain conversion rate that is considered good, but the percentage may differ depending on the industry. Look at your numbers and figure out where you need more traffic to achieve your very own conversion goals.
#3 is a post-conversion strategy
Only a very small percentage of people qualify to do business with you and are in the market to buy. So make sure there are processes and systems in place for what happens after prospective customers convert, even if they are not sales-ready today.

#4 is user experience?
Sometimes the overall user experience isn't great, so you need to analyze your website from a usability standpoint. Mind the numbers but follow your intuition to figure out what’s best for your audience.?
#5 is content
All of the above is fueled with content, so make sure it is up-to-date, relevant, and useful. Analyze what posts get people's attention, as well as how you are doing with production in general, including your content creation and promotion strategies.
They say you can’t improve what you can’t measure. That’s true! As soon as you have all the data in place, you can optimize each of those metrics.??
