How it all works...
Some times clients come to me and especially if they have never been through the creative process before, it is something that this information helps. I often talk through this face to face with new set ups and clients at the initial meeting.
For your design, I gather and research all the details about your company and where you want to be in the next 10 years or so. We design for the business sector and target audience not to trend. Hence our logo’s last you a long time so all your marketing is not wasted getting the branding know in business.
Then we do conceptual design and this starts with drawing scamps by hand, to then be developed on the computer with fonts/design/colour.
Normally I ask some questions, and ask you to indicate which logo’s you like and don’t like from a selection I email over, this helps to narrow down the design styles etc.
The first proofs are all the conceptual designs, so that we can narrow down your taste and the direction at this stage and the timing is right to ensure that you get the design which is right for your business.
We keep going until you are happy with the right design and then develop further, with different colours and as they will be used on labels and packaging, I will show how they can look with different backgrounds etc.
The final stage of the design includes preparation for use on all media, you will receive files in a variety of formats so that you can use them on social media, printing and digital.
This is done once sign off has taken place and you are happy.

5 年Absolutely right Kate. Good design is not to be sniffed at. As a photographer, my methods have similarities. One has to get under the skin of the client first to work out what makes the company tick. Without finding out the aims and aspirations of the company it is impossible to interpret a plan and devise an image which fits. Design and photography work together and have great influential power in business. They are not just snaps and scribbles but striking influential messages which create business ( and money ).
