How AI Gave Me a Day Back with My Little Girl

This Thanksgiving weekend, my top priority was spending time with my family—especially my daughter. Second on the list was completing the initial review of updated franchise renewal paperwork for our F45 business, but that was in direct opposition to priority one. Unfortunately, it's so often the case that priorities with deadlines supersede the ones we know mean more but that we assume will be there for us when the work is done....but it's never done.

With three 70+ page documents to go through—the original franchise agreement, the new version, and my lease—it felt like an all-day task involving hours of reading, researching, and drafting responses.

I decided to give Adobe Acrobat's AI Assistant a try. It's secure and enterprise grade so I thought I'd see how hard I could push it. Using the assistant, I was able to analyze all the documents in under a minute, even asking detailed questions like:

• "Is this document more franchisee or franchisor friendly?"
• "What are the key changes between these versions?"
• "What’s a reasonable pushback on these terms?"

I even had it regenerate a commercial terms table with my requested changes. What would normally take 8 hours was wrapped up in just 3, giving me 5 precious hours back to spend with my daughter—playing, laughing, and enjoying the holiday.

Thanks to generative AI , I was able to reclaim the day. In the end, it’s not just about saving time—it’s about getting time back for what truly matters. ??
