PDF documents.

It's hard to imagine our everyday life without them. And for good reason. And I personally love PDFs, why?

1. for the sake of ecology (you save paper and space, currently an SSD with 1TB is cheaper than a bookshelf).
2. for the sake of space, e.g. a book with 2800 pages... instead of 2.8 kg you have 15-30 MB.
3. additional note regarding prices, this can be found more often in IT or especially with reference books - I find the pricing policy at some publishers already brazen. When the printed book costs the same as the digital one. But hopefully, there is still something to do, because in principle you save resources and costs by xxx%).

Well, I like to read, a lot.

But here the problem is usually, the time.

So, I was looking for a solution some time ago, in which I can have certain PDFs read aloud next to my work.

Let me say, small multitasking, and yes, I hear again the voices that mean, what that works, multitasking doesn′t exist?!? I, for my part, would say, yes it works ;)?

But now let me stay on topic.

How can you get them to read to you quickly and for free with available tools? Here I am by chance, stumbled upon a Function in the Adobe Acrobat Reader and was surprised that this has this function, and this provides it for free.??

Here you must first activate one setting in the options:

1. View
2. Read Out Loud

1. Activate Read Out Loud

This activates the integrated Read Out Loud Function.

Oh, and of course, there are also shortcuts:

• Activate/Deactivate Read Out Loud - Shift+Ctrl+Y
• Read This Page Only - Shift+Ctrl+V
• Read To End of Document - Shift+Ctrl+B
• Pause - Shift+Ctrl+C
• Stop - Shift+Ctrl+E

A small note from me:

"When you open a new PDF-Document, you must also re-enable speech output. Unfortunately, Adobe does not adopt this setting permanently."
