Take a few moments to assess what really adds excitement to your life. If you are struggling to find the answer, then it is time to add spice to your life. And, no, it doesn’t have to be something expensive, extravagant, or time consuming. Just include the right amount of spice to put a bounce in your step and add a smile on your face.
Here are some easy ways to add spice to your life.
Start exploring:?
Take away the boredom from your daily routine by getting out and discovering the world around you. A simple way to add spice to your life involves exploring your own city and doing those things that “tourists” might do. Find those hidden gems by going to the local art museum, zoo, theater, or amusement park. Make it a point to explore the different restaurants and ethnic foods that your city offers. You might be surprised at the adventures awaiting you just around the corner.
Say yes to opportunities:?
We can come up with a thousand reasons to do or not to do something. So, stick to doing new things to spice up your life. Don’t overthink your pros and cons to getting out and having fun. Instead of saying an automatic no, just say yes to invitations from friends and family members to get out and about and be exposed to new adventures.
Get those creative juices flowing:?
You have hidden talents! Now is the time to explore new ways to be creative. Start taking up undiscovered hobbies such as pottery, painting, cooking classes, woodworking, and quilting.?Learn how to play the piano, guitar, or another type of instrument. Try singing, dancing, or acting on the stage or in your own video post for Facebook friends or YouTube. Write a book or become a blogger. Using your creativity is a fun way to add that extra spice to your life.
Treat yourself to something good:?
Whenever you feel a rut coming on, add spice to your life by doing something simple but special for yourself. You might treat yourself to the movies, a massage, getting a pedicure or manicure, buying a new outfit, or going out for a fun lunch or dinner. Think about what would make you feel special and do it from time to time as a treat.
Redecorate a room:?
Quickly survey each room in your home. Is there something you would like to change or jazz up??To spice up your life, consider rearranging your furniture in one of your rooms by adding a few new touches like a fun picture, flower arrangements, new lamps, or a special rug. This is a great way to make home improvements that will add value to your happiness.
Be an avid learner and reader:?
Exercise your mind by actively exploring the world of learning through books, taking classes, and online resources such as TV documentaries, travel shows, or YouTube videos. Get out of your comfort zone and start accessing topics that are new and interesting to you. Make learning your passion as you discover the wealth of knowledge readily available to you.
Make time to travel:?
Scout out new and different places to visit. In addition to the typical sightseeing, get a flavor of the culture by mingling with the people, eating their foods, and listening to the local music. Be it with?friends, family members or even by yourself, jump in your car, take a bus or train, or fly by plane to that special somewhere. With the right kind of strategizing, it doesn't have to be expensive...just FUN!

Change your appearance:?
Switch it up by changing something about the way you look. You don’t have to do an extreme makeover but just enough to add some excitement to your life. You might want to change your hair color or style of cut that you have worn for years, add a bit more color to your wardrobe, or get some help with new makeup techniques.?Whatever you do, have fun with it.
Get a pet:?
Especially if you don’t have a pet now, add pizazz to your life by getting one. Determine what pet would work best for your lifestyle and pocketbook. Consult with others and go to your local pet store to discover your perfect pet. While getting a pet is a definite investment of time and money, they will also be an endless source of companionship and entertainment for you.
Become a volunteer:?
Volunteering is a great way to get out of the house, meet new people, and help others. Identify a charity that fits well with your schedule and passions. Get involved by dedicating time every month to being a volunteer. Open your heart and mind to new possibilities by giving a bit of quality time in support of others.
It’s up to you. If you get up in the morning with nothing to look forward to, it’s time to shake it up.?How can you add spice to your life? And how can you make it a journey that includes friends, family, and fun?
