The holidays are full of big feelings — joy, nostalgia, and maybe even a little stress. And when it comes to your brand, feelings matter just as much as data.

Sure, metrics like clicks, impressions, and follower growth are important, but they don’t tell the whole story.

What about the ?sentiment? behind the data?

Positive comments, heartfelt reviews, and even DMs from customers sharing how your brand has helped them are often more valuable than the numbers on a spreadsheet. ??

Because marketing isn’t just about reaching people... it’s about resonating with them.

As you wrap up your year-end reports, don’t overlook the qualitative stuff.

Adding examples of meaningful interactions, recurring themes in comments, or even the tone of your audience’s reactions can show the true impact of your brand.

BONUS TIP: This works for personal content too. Create a "kind words" file where you keep screenshots of nice things people say to you. Great for days when imposter syndrome creeps in!

In 1996, Tickle Me Elmo was the toy of the year. After it was featured on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, it sparked a buying frenzy.

One million units sold by Christmas and parents were desperate to get their hands on one.

The $28.99 toy was re-sold in newspaper ads and online for as much as $1,500, and sold at auction for $18,500.

Today, Walmart sells Tickle Me Elmo for $15 — in plentiful supply! (And today's kids will still love it!)
