How to add NPT standard to CATIA ?

American National Standard Pipe Thread (NPT) standards, often called national pipe thread standards for short, are U.S. national technical standards for screw threads used on threaded pipes and pipe fittings.

First, Please refer to the following path in your system(Be attention, the default disk that we install CATIA to that is disk C.):

C:\Program Files\Dassault Systems\B14\intel_a\refiles\standard?

NOTE: where the "B14" corresponds to your installed version. (B13 for R13, B15 for R15, etc...)

In the next step, you select one of the default standard files of Catia?and make a copy of it. Put the file name in the NPT.

After that, Open the NPT file and replace the data as shown below.

At last, After changing the file, save it. As below.

Now you can refer to the threading section in CATIA and use the new standard.
