This means you’re serious about getting that custom link on your LinkedIn profile, like the screenshot below.
Did you know that besides your LinkedIn profile, the custom link also appears in the DM section?
It’s pinned at the top, alongside your profile name. This makes it super easy for anyone messaging you to check it out.
Thankfully, you don’t need LinkedIn Premium to use this feature.
So, here’s how to add a custom link to your LinkedIn profile in six simple steps.
Step 1
Click your name in the left panel of your home feed to go to your profile page. Or click Me in the top menu and select View Profile.
Step 2
Ensure Creator mode is enabled on your profile page. Scroll down to the Resources section to find the Creator mode button.
Step 3
Click the pencil icon below your banner.
Step 4
Scroll to the bottom of the popup and click Edit custom button.

Step 5
Select the Link option, add your Link, describe your Link text, and click Save.
Step 6
Click Save again to finally add the link to your profile.
If you don’t see the changes immediately, refresh your page and everything will be set.
That’s it! A simple tweak to turn your LinkedIn profile from a resume to a sales page.
