Hello to all the Trailheaders out there. I know you guys are as excited as I am seeing the new look and feel of Trailhead and the awesome functionality added by Salesforce where you can add the Trailhead Badges you earn to your LinkedIn Profile.
Now you can show-off your Badges to the world and grab the awesome opportunities that this Salesforce Economy has in store for you. The only bummer is for those who have already completed a lot of Trailhead Badges. You can only take advantage of the "Add to Profile" LinkedIn Button if you have completed your badge after this feature was rolled out. This was pretty disappointing to me as I will be missing on a lot of badges that I've already completed and I will not be able to add them to my LinkedIn Profile :(
But hey guess what, I found a way. Yes I found a way to add even those Badges to my LinkedIn profile and I want to share this wisdom with you guys so that the whole Salesforce world can take advantage of it.
Right now at the end of each module, you see a "Add to Profile" button. When you click this button, you are redirected to your linkedin profile, where you can see something like this
This is what I saw for my LinkedIn profile when I completed the "Data Management" module in Trailhead. You can edit this Certificate by clicking on "Edit certification details" or directly click Save to save it to your LinkedIn profile. As you can see this is nothing but a simple LinkedIn Certificate that you can manually add to your LinkedIn Profile as well by following these steps:
- Go to LinkedIn.
- Click on
Edit Profile
On your Profile go down to the Certifications section and Click on "Add Certificate"
We will see the following screen where we can enter details:
Certification Name : Trailhead Module Name
Certification Authority(This is actually a kind of drop down, will show you options as you type) : Salesforce Trailhead
License Number(Salesforce leaves it blank while adding the certification) :
Certification URL(Salesforce leaves it blank while adding the certification) : But we can add the link to the module
Dates(Salesforce leaves it blank while adding the certification) :
This certificate does not expire(Salesforce leaves it unchecked while adding the certification) : You can check this.
Click Save. And you have successfully added Salesforce Trailhead Badge to LinkedIn.
But if you are one those lazy ones like me, I have a better way for you.You can access all the Traihead Badges and add them to your LinkedIn Profile using Salesforce Trailhead Badges Library.
You can either click on the above link to access this library or you can click on the link in the Header section of the Blog to access it.
I've created this library to make the process of adding Trailhead Badges to your LinkedIn Profile like a walk in the park. But I do hope that this library will be used honestly and wisely. That you will not abuse it.I'm asking your Name, LinkedIn Profile URL and your Trailhead Badges URL before you are able to use this library.Random audits will be conducted on the profile of people who have used this library to make sure that the library is not being abused.
May the Trailhead and Salesforce be with you.
