HOW TO ACE AN HR INTERVIEW

To ace an HR interview is not a matter of skill, but a matter of practice.

Unless you are a human resource professional, you won't know much about the interview process. Candidates usually misunderstood and consider the recruiter as their enemy and this mindset creates an atmosphere of negativity and decreases the chances of your getting hired. The recruiter also had a goal to put the right person into the job and this makes him your partner in this process, not your enemy.

Cracking an interview is not stressful, you just need to have a strategy and apply it effectively. Most of the candidates fail to market themselves during their job interviews. It is important to make sure that you are representing the right skills you have for the actual job you are applying for.

?Some tips to keep in mind are as follows-

·????????Research all about the company- this shows your awareness and sincerity towards the job. You need to know all about the company to make your profile and skills exactly match up with the job you are applying for. This also shows how serious you are for this job.

·????????Prepare the introduction part- the first question will be to introduce yourself, so prepare and practice your introduction in five lines and try to include only those points that matter for the recruiter to know.

·????????Examine your previous experience- note all the major responsibilities for each job you have done. Mention all your special accomplishments and describe all your skills and abilities that make you excel in your last job and made you productive.

·????????Focus on your body language- it is your body that speaks before you. The way you are presenting yourself will either make or break the entire interview process

·????????Maintain healthy eye contact – this will ensure the smooth run of the process.

·????????Give a firm handshake- this is the most missed point. Don't be so hard or loose just the perfect handshake will be a perfect start for the interview.

·????????Examine your strengths and weaknesses- strength should be unique and exactly matching the skills required in the job. Weakness should not be your exact weakness, it should be a low strength of yours just embedded in a form of weakness.

·????????Practice counter questioning- Nobody understands you as well as you understand yourself. Practice all the behavioral questions that can be counter asked to you.

·????????Don't slam your previous company or boss- always appreciate your last job for giving you experience, enhancing your skills, and making you more productive.

·????????Practice and practice- the only skill to master the interview is practicing.
