When the Excel add-in is installed, the "SAP IBP" tab appears in your Microsoft Excel ribbon. To set up a connection to your SAP IBP system, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose "Log On".
  2. The "Logon" dialog appears. Usually, your administrator distributes the relevant connection details automatically and you can directly select one of the connections and click "Log On". If no connection has been preset by your administrator, do the following to set up a connection manually:Click the "..." (Choose Connection) button next to the "Connection" field. Click the "Create Connection" button.Enter a free text name for the connection name. It’s good practice to mention the tenant role (test or production) and the planning area name.In the "Server URL" field, enter the following address: https://my309952.scmibp1.ondemand.com:In the "Planning Area" field, enter the name of the planning area you want to work with directly. If you dont know the name of the planning area, you can look it up by choosing the "..." button (Select a planning area). You can also use the DEFAULT planning area, which can be defined in the SAP Fiori launchpad (see Default Planning Area | SAP Help Portal).Optionally, you can set the connection as default connection, so you dont need to select it the next time you want to log on.Leave the "SAP Support User" checkbox deselected. This checkbox is required if a user such as an SAP Support user wants to log on.Choose OK.Add your username and password. (This step is required depending on how authentication is set up at your organization.)Choose "OK" again, and in the "Log on to SAP IBP" dialog, choose "Log On".
