As we celebrate Damia Group Portugal's 7th anniversary, I can't help but feel proud of how far we've come. What started as a vision to create a tech recruitment boutique in Portugal, has grown into a thriving company, full of passionate and expert professionals that are focused on H2H (human 2 human) approaches and are providing the best recruitment experiences for our clients and our candidates.
This has surely been a thrilling and challenging ride and this year it made me wonder what were the key factors that got us here. As this is our 7th birthday, we came up with the 7 pillars that have been instrumental to our success story. You can think of them as the 7 wonders of Tech Recruitment. Each of these pillars stands as a testament to the values, strategies, and innovations that guided us through the years, and that we truly believe are universal.
1. Talent Sourcing Strategies
Developing a robust, multi-layered approach to sourcing the best tech talent to ensure we match the right people with the right opportunities, must be the first “wonder”. We make sure, every day, that our team has a deep understanding of the tech landscape and a proactive approach to recruitment. This allows us to build strong, lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. From Boolean search to innovative tools and AI, this tech talent wonder constantly evolves, and we believe this knowledge should be shared with the community. And we’ll do just that in the next weeks.

There is something intensely rewarding when we recruit someone. Knowing that we have helped change someone’s life for the better is an amazing achievement that fills our hearts and, at the same time, energizes us all as a team, with one person at a time, we are one step closer to accomplishing our mission. This tech recruitment wonder has passed the buzzword stage. Our experience shows that recruitment processes are biased in many ways, creating not-so-conscientious barriers to Diversity & Inclusion from the start. Looking back over the past seven years, I'm grateful for the trust our clients and candidates have placed in us and the Team we have put together. It's been an extraordinary journey and these seven pillars have been the foundation of our success. But this is only the beginning.
