How 3 Positive Habits and Putting Others Before Yourself Can Lead to a Happier Life:
For as long as I could remember, I have longed for daily happiness. But for many years it felt like an elusive dream that was always just out of my reach. I had tried countless ways to try and achieve this feeling, but none seemed to work long term until one day I had an aha moment and shifted the way I thought about my life.?
A positive seed finally grew in me, I started realizing that in order to become truly happy not only in my personal life but also in my professional one, there were three key things that needed to be incorporated into my daily routine: acceptance, non judgement and daily gratitude.?
Acceptance meant accepting both negative and positive aspects of myself without trying to change them or wishing they would go away; non-judgement encompassed being kinder towards other people around me, especially my family regardless of their beliefs or lifestyle choices; finally, practicing gratitude every single day involved focusing on all the good things going on in my life instead of focusing on everything that was wrong with my life and everything that I didn't have.?
The more often these three actions became part of my day-to-day existence, the more contentment began pouring into each aspect of who I am, from within myself to how others perceive me, allowing me greater access to genuine joy than ever before! My newfound outlook has empowered me to have a brighter perspective on everything happening around me whether it be personal successes or failures, leading ultimately towards true inner peace.?

By remembering these 3 principles even in times when chaos seems inevitable, happiness remains attainable no matter what the universe is throwing at me!
And while extreme wealth might bring many people joy for some others it seems to bring nothing but a never ending void of unhappiness. There's millionaires and billionaires I know who have everything they could ever want from private planes, multiple estates around the world, yachts and owning industries that would make even Julius Cesar envious. But despite all their wealth and possessions, some of them still seem to feel so empty inside.?
On one level they know that money can't buy true lasting happiness. Yet they keep accumulating more and more anyway in search of something intangible, some feeling or emotion that keeps eluding them no matter how much stuff they keep acquiring. They, like so many others out there, have plenty of material goods but are still lacking the one thing money can never purchase, true internal happiness with their lives and with themselves.?
I propose this question, what if one day these millionaires and billionaires decided to try and do something different??Instead of spending more money on more homes they don't live full time in, more luxury items and more exotic vacations, what if they used their fortunes to travel around their countries solving systemic community issues, helping those less fortunate than themselves by donating supplies, creating sustainable healthy food programs and building schools in impoverished areas to educate the people who really need it most. I'm not talking about just writing checks at some expensive charity events, I'm talking about some real life get your hands dirty in-person by giving back in a meaningful way to change peoples life completely and permanently.?Not only will it set them on a journey to find peace within themselves because of the good deeds they're doing for humanity, but it also can cause them to realize what truly matters when it comes to living a fulfilling life which is being of service to and helping others rather than just keep accumulating more and more stuff that they don't actually need! If they were smart enough to generate their wealth, then they should be smart enough to do this too! I plan on dedicating my life and wealth to being the latter.
There's so much good that needs to be done in the world and not enough people doing it, be the difference...Jamison

1 年There is always a deeper underlying issue when you dig below the surface. Frequently the “thing” you see, isn’t the real “thing” that is being overlooked or ignored. Expensive and ostentatious purchases are very often masking insecurity, anger, or fear of abandonment. If you look at online dating, many people will say that they are looking for companionship, but that’s not the real thing to be addressed. It’s more challenging and requires work to examine the loneliness that is the driving catalyst. As you mentioned, the three positive habits are profound because they acknowledge the personal responsibility that we all have to cultivate inner happiness, rather than seeking it through external band-aids.
