Housecleaner As A Hub Of Partners
Happy Fall!
Yes, Fall is just days away. How quickly is this year going? Certainly more quickly than the last year of lockdowns and shortages.
After Summer vacations (if any) is a good time to reconnect with business friends. I’d like to focus on the many trades that work in and around the same houses that we housecleaners work in. There are many opportunities for all of us to look out for each other, to refer work to each other, and to see that our clients get the best service from the best qualified team.
As a homeowner I have personal experience with carpenters, plumbers, HVAC folks, flooring folks, painters, bathroom/kitchen updaters, window/door replacers, pest controllers, roofers, lawn services, irrigation services, and foundation experts.
As a pet owner I have personal experience with veterinarians, pet groomers and pet hotels.
As a housecleaner I have professional experience with carpet cleaners, pest controllers, painters, carpet cleaners and power washer services.
Formalizing a database of all these useful contacts presents two ways to capitalize on them.

One way is to just be the go-to resource for all services that our clients need. This is a value-add that most housecleaners certainly do not do.
Another way is to formalize relationships with all these service providers and to create a mutually beneficial network of business referrers. Maybe there will be referral fees in some cases. Maybe there is just the understanding that referrals are repaid by future referrals. The point is to build business for the group.
There are online services that refer homeowners to all of these services. Who do you think will carry the most weight with a referral/recommendation? A website? Or a real person?
Of course, you had better believe in whoever you recommend. You cred is on the line, too!
Happy Fall! One of the four best seasons to build business. Ha!
