This past week was very heavy on my soul and in the spirit in general, I had to cry out for help from Holy Spirit as I could not get any work done. I lacked inspiration and motivation and was gently reminded that I had been triggered by a past phase in my life that I had spoken to a friend about. Bringing this experience to the surface took so much out of me, and then I realized that God had willed it so that I could heal it completely. I also learned that to be able to fulfill our purpose we have to be healed completely of past hurts as these just generate negative energy. I found myself binge-watching some non-edifying series as an escape and got migraines from hell instead. By the grace and the Lord's unfailing love, I have surfaced and feel fresh and clean, all praise to the Lord of heaven's armies.
- This is what the Sovereign Lord says: "Because Moab and Seir said, 'Look, Judah has become like all the other nations,' therefore I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns – Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon and Kiriathaim—the glory of that land. I will give Moab along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations; I will inflict punishment on Moab. Then they will know that I am the Lord."'(Ezekiel 25:11)
- I read an article on mining dot com on how Glencore paid the Democratic Republic of Congo’s government US$180 Million to settle corruption claims. Are these still considered claims if there has been admittance to guilt? It is so misleading how some of these business journalists have sugar-coated some very serious reports. (LON: GLEN) said it would pay the DRC a miserly US$180 Million to settle all alleged corruption claims in the country stretching between 2007 and 2018. Again, the wording intentionally drew away the graveness of Glencore’s corruption in Africa spanning over?a decade.
- A probe by DRC’s National Financial Intelligence Unit and Ministry of Justice, and the United States Department of Justice over 3 years uncovered US$27.5 Million paid in bribes in one sector between 2010 and 2013. Please note that Glencore has been operating in Africa for almost half a century. The article reported that "Glencore is a long-standing investor in the DRC and is pleased to have reached this agreement to address the consequences of its past conduct, chairman Kalidas Madhavpeddi said in a statement."To date the total sum of US$1.5 Billion (￡1.2 Billion) has been paid by Glencore for similar accusations of bribery across Africa and South America including the manipulation of fuel oil prices, how is it that this Company is still listed and still trading on the Stock Exchange?
- We know that Israeli mining billionaire Dan Gertler was working with Glencore during this period. In 2018 Glencore settled a long dragged-legal-row with Gertler, which included buying the tycoon’s stakes in the Mutanda Mining joint venture and in #Katanga

(KCC). (LON: GLEN) holds a 75% stake in KCC (Copper-belt), Mutanda is responsible for a fifth of the world's Cobalt and nearly 200000t in 2018 reported as the last year of full production. The insult in this report is quoted as, “Despite the fines, Glencore is expected to post record profits of around US$3.2 Billion this year.”
- Back to Dan Gertler known for extensive public corruption with his scandalous operations in Africa. The Israeli “Blood Diamond” magnate raised concerns in the US State Department after Trump officials relaxed sanctions imposed on him. CBS news reported on “16/12/2022 One of the final decisions Trump officials made before leaving office on January 15, 2021, the Treasury Department eased sanctions on Israeli billionaire Dan Gertler, temporarily restoring his access to a web of companies and frozen bank accounts that U.S officials say he used to BILK more than US$1.5 billion in mining revenues from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- The Treasury Dept. sanctioned Dan Gertler in 2017 for leveraging his relationship with former Congolese President Joseph Kabila to serve as a middleman between multinational companies looking to do business with the mineral-rich state. The Dept. said Gertler amassed a fortune through hundreds of millions of dollars worth of opaque and corrupt mining and oil deals. As far back as 2001, Gertler has been accused of propping up military training in exchange for access to so-called blood or conflict diamonds, according to a United Nations report. Gertler was sanctioned for corruption and bribery including, undervaluing mining concessions and then reselling for a huge profit, which supported Kabila’s oppressive reign. This is what the Lord says: 'For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not relent. Because he burned the bones of Edom's king to ashes, I will send a fire on Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth. Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries and the blast of the trumpet. (Amos 2:1-2). The blood of Patrice Lumumba cries out.
- In an email shared with CBS, attorneys working for Gertler argued why he should be relieved of sanctions, including his readiness to wield his influence in support of U.S. interests in the DRC and against Russia and China. The removal of sanctions on Dan Gertler was done on a political basis without any legal reasoning.
- Can a corrupt throne be allied with you, a throne that brings on misery by its decrees? The wicked band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death. But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the Rock in whom I take refuge. He will repay them for their wickedness; the Lord our God will destroy them. (Psalm 94:20-23). The same entities that have been getting away with plundering the African nation are the?same ones that fuel conflict within the African continent, pitting brotherly tribes against each other. Notice how Rwanda and Uganda have been manipulated to fight DRC over a prime asset (Goma). To undo the, 'divide and rule' strategy that has driven Africa apart this is the time for leadership to sit down and strategize on how we can unify our people and win the war against the instigators. (Jeremiah 48:18-19) It is time to “Unite and Build”.
- I weep for you, as Jazer weeps, you vines of Sibmah. Your branches spread as far as the Sea; they reached as far as Jazer. The destroyer has fallen on your ripened fruit and grapes. Joy and gladness are gone from the orchards and fields of Moab. I have stopped the flow of wine from the presses, no one treads them with shouts of joy. Although they are shouts, they are not shouts of joy. (Jeremiah 48:32-33,40,42). This is what the Lord says: Look! An eagle is swooping down, spreading its wings over Moab. Moab will be destroyed as a nation because she defied the Lord.
- Take note that African borders are marked by prime assets that were strategically planned to bring chaos and conflict at set times to ensure that African unity would be almost impossible to achieve. The reason is much deeper than most would understand or be able to fathom though on the surface it looks like it is all about mineral resource manipulation. Why did the World bank terminate its contributions to the Goma Volcanic Observatory (GVO) in 2020 just before the May 2021 Nyiragongo volcanic eruption which is still erupting? In the shadow of Heshbon, the fugitives stand helpless, for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a blaze from the midst of Sihon; it burns the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of the noisy boasters. (Jeremiah 48:45).
A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the Lord's work! A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed. 'Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come.' declares the Lord. Here ends the judgment on Moab. (Jeremiah 48:10,47). I pray that Holy Spirit imparts discernment to those that the Lord will it. Yeshua our Christ reigns forever! Until next week by grace, shalom.
