An hour of daily workout – for a stronger and happier ME!
‘I come here for workout but what I like more is meeting everyone, the music and the laughter”, said someone to me as we got ready for another early morning session of Zumba. “Do you like coming here”, she asked and I thought….
An hour of workout has such amazing effect on how the entire day shapes up. No matter which form of work out one choses, yoga, walking, jogging, gym, aerobics, Zumba or dance, it not only burns the calories and tones the body, but also burns the stress and tones the mood; burns the pressures we might carry and tones the attitude; Being healthy is much more than eating the right food and working out. It is also about quality of our thoughts and actions; shaping up the behavior and attitude;
An hour of workout clears my mind and makes it afresh; an hour of workout gives me a chance to test my endurance; an hour of workout on a winter chilly morning tests my conviction; an hour of heavy workout not only strengthens the body but also the mind; it is as much about mental fitness as the physical fitness;
An hour of workout also is the “me time” which I seldom get for myself; an hour of workout also makes me feel more energetic for the whole day and get on with the jet speed with which we need to get things done!
Stretching myself to fit the workout in my daily routine actually makes me more flexible! So, that’s my fitness mantra which gives me strength, balance, health, flexibility, smiles and a lot of friends!
