HLF Parks for People interpretation project draws to a close
I deliberately arrived early at Houghton Hall Park in Houghton Regis, early on a clear, cold February morning, so I could have a wander around the park and take some photographs ahead of a planned meeting.
I wanted images of the completed interpretation that I had designed for the park. Although I had overseen the early part of the installation, this was the first opportunity to see all of the pieces in place. Exterior interpretation panels, welcome panels and wildlife species cut outs are all linked to the interior of the new visitor centre, where we had designed custom flooring and wall graphics.
It is very rewarding to see an interpretation project reach fruition, particularly when you were responsible for the original plan some three and a half years previous. My thanks throughout to CFP UK www.cfp.co.uk with whom I have worked closely both on the plan and the delivery stages and who were responsible for the whole park restoration project.
