Hotel Planned for Sunset Hills

A developer is proposing to build a second hotel next to his existing hospitality property in south St. Louis County, next to the under construction Bass Pro Shops in St Louis, Missouri.?Developer H.R. Sheevam in December 2021 opened a newly built 78-room Comfort Suites hotel that replaced a since-demolished Days Inn garden-style hotel, proposed to build a second new hotel next door at 3660 S. Lindbergh Blvd. in Sunset Hills, off Interstate 44.?The proposed, five-story Hampton Inn by Hilton, would have 88 rooms and cater to business customers.?The new hotel project has secured financing according to a timeline submitted to the city.?The Board of Aldermen will have to approve the project, since hotels in the city require a conditional-use permit.?Following city approval, construction could start within three months and could be completed in two years, according to the timeline. The hotel could open two months after that, according to the filing. That would be three years after the city grants approval.?Sheevam is represented attorney Norbert Glassl. The traffic study was completed by T2 Traffic and Transportation. The architect for the project is Levine Associates.
