Hotel Mixed Use Project Planned for Sears Town
Developer AIMCO is planning a mixed use development for the former Searstown site in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the will include apartments, offices, retail and a hotel.?The plans for the 5.64-acre site at 901 N. Federal Highway calls for 797 apartments, 104,317 square feet of office, 70,693 square feet of retail, a 17,485-square-foot grocery store, 10,000 square feet of restaurants, a 188-room hotel and 1,977 parking spaces. There would be two 30-story towers plus a 21-story tower, all connected by a parking podium.?The office space would cover four double-height floors within the nine-story parking podium. There would be an amenity deck atop the parking podium featuring three pools and a gym.?Attorney Courtney Crush, is representing AIMCO in the application. The project is being designed by Stantec.??
