HOT TREND: The Power of Audio Marketing

As we all enter the fall and holiday marketing planning season budgets are under reviews and results are top priority. As you are considering marketing tactics, don't leave audio marketing off of your list.

Did you know that "Audio Marketing" is one of the most strategic forms of marketing you can use?

Think about these three critical points:

  • Complete attention: When your target audience listens to a podcast (whether it is yours or you are a sponsor or advertiser in it) you are getting their FULL and INDIVIDUAL attention. 95% of people listen to a podcast when they are alone.
  • More attention: Did you know that 58% of podcast listeners listen to the entire podcast? Compare 15-30 minutes (on average) of solo attention to the 5.26 seconds people spend on TikTok, 10 seconds they spend on a a facebook video and this is attention gold
  • Relaxed attention: According to Riverside.fm , 70% of podcast fans listen while they are doing housework (link in comments for full study). This means you are reaching them at a time when they are not being bombarded with other competing messages. And, the brain is in passive thinking mode, which means it will process information more fully. The Liftoff Enterprises podcast Liftoff Journeys is just one of the great audio marketing tools out there.

What do you think about audio marketing? And what are your favorite, go-to podcasts?

GREAT IDEA: Create a Gratitude Journal: 3 Tips for Starting Your Journey

Recently, Jeanniey Walden interviewed Teddy Droseros founder and CEO of Grateful Peoples on Liftoff with Jeanniey Walden about the power of gratitude and how it doesn't just change your own life, but it impacts others around you (in a good way). You can watch the interview here , or, get Teddy's top 3 tips for starting a gratitude journey below.

  1. START: Just grab a pen and paper and it doesn't have to be a fancy notebook and leave it somewhere in your house that you're going to see it every day. (Teddy's tip: "For me I just left it by by my bedside every night, and it was my reminder that it's time time to practice gratitude.
  2. MAKE SPACE: Create the environment to be able to be grateful. (Teddy's tip: Create a grateful nook in your house).
  3. DON"T GIVE UP: It took Teddy a few weeks before he realized that this was working. Give yourself 30 days and see the difference in your life and of those around you.

WALDEN PONDERS: Should Networking Be Taught in School?

In today's business world, no matter who you are, what level you are at, or what you are trying to accomplish, good networking skills are a critical part of helping you reach your desired result. Think about it:

  • 73% of people get a job 3X faster when they have an "in" at a company vs. applying online
  • 89% of internal pitches are approved if they "pre-sell" them in and generate supporters before the presentation.
  • 91% of business influencers say that networking is one of the top three most important skills to have.

Yet, no one (except Dale Carnegie) teaches us how to network until we seek it out. I wonder what would happen if school curriculums included a class on how to network. What do you think?
