What I Like About Hostinger? [My Personal Experience]

During my time with Hostinger, I've found plenty of good things.

Yes, there are problems too, but let’s first cover the positives.

1.) The Server Performance is Acceptable

I am not saying that Hostinger can get you an ultra level performance if you’re running a million count traffic type site.

No!

But the performance I get on my Hostinger premium plan (the starting plan) is acceptable.

My site is hosted on Asia data centers, and the average loading time globally is 2 seconds, which is nice.?

6. Hostinger Support is Kinda Good:

They gave me options to connect with them through 2 mediums:

• 24*7 Live Chat
• Email

Yes there is no phone support.

I had a concern about DNS management, so I spoke to their team. They responded quickly though (less than 2 minutes).

I felt that they can guide you step by step and share a tutorial for reference that you can follow to solve your problem.

Since Hostinger is not a fully managed service, you have to do everything yourself according to their instructions. Most of the time, their instructions are clear and get the job done.

At this pricing point, you can't get fully managed WordPress hosting, so you'll have to get used to DIY.

If customer support is a priority, then you get the best service at Liquid Web hosting.

What I Don’t Like About Hostinger?

From my experience with Hostinger, while the hosting service offers competitive pricing and decent performance, there are several aspects that could be improved.?

Firstly, the free CDN is only included in the Business and top-tier plans, excluding it from the premium plan, which I find limiting.?

To ensure continuous top performance, you'll have to keep the CDN turned on.?

But Hostinger provides you with a free CDN service through Cloudflare, which is sufficient for most needs but weaker compared to premium services.

Additionally, the lack of phone support is a drawback compared to competitors who offer this option. And yes you have to DIY everything, They just provide you the instructions.

Migration is restricted from platforms like Blogger or WIX, which can be frustrating for users looking to switch.?

Moreover, while initial pricing is attractive, renewal costs can increase significantly.?

Despite these issues, Hostinger provides good customer support via live chat and email, although they primarily support users in English, which may not be suitable for everyone.

If you own a website receiving millions of traffic, even Hostinger's high-end plans may not deliver the performance level you're expecting.

Does Hostinger Offer Fair Plans?

Hostinger pricing starts from $2.99. Their most popular plans are Premium, Business, and Cloud Startup.

• Premium Plan: $2.99/month - Best for 5,000 - 10,000 monthly visitors
• Business Plan: $3.99/month - Best for 10,000 - 50,000 monthly visitors
• Cloud Startup Plan: $9.99/month - Best for beyond 50k monthly traffic

Upon reviewing, I see that these three Hostinger plans are quite similar in terms of features. However, the premium plan does not include the benefit of a CDN. The Cloud Startup plan offers 200 GB of SSD space, which is the same as the previous Business plan. Yes, that's a disadvantage.

The Cloud Startup plan is the best for performance, and having a dedicated IP improves security.

The good thing is you get free backups on all plans and a complimentary free domain with all the plans.

Overall, all Hostinger plans look good to me. And if "people's choice" matters, you can go with the Business plan as it is widely picked for getting the most out of Hostinger servers.
