HOSPACE 2022 All this and Nile Rodgers too!

For the UK Hospitality Vertical, HOSPACE is pretty much the place to be every November, and 2022 did not disappoint.

In my days working for Vendors, HOSPACE was the show I tried never to miss. It doesn’t just attract UK delegates, but international too. Great friendships were cemented in the early hours over drinks in the bar. It is a place where old friends who only see each other at this type of event rekindle their relationships.

As a Headhunter / Recruiter, my focus is on engaging with attendees, finding new friends and catching up with old ones. Whilst I didn’t have much time to attend the seminars, I did hear very positive feedback on the quality.

Last year, COVID meant the show, whilst good, wasn’t as busy as one would have wished -but this year, WOW, we are very much back in the saddle. The show was really well attended, many new and old faces were there – Jane Pendlebury did a fantastic job of bringing it all together.

Several of my clients were attending, also several of my placements, which always makes me feel very happy with what I do these days.

The Gala Dinner went very well, Zunaid (Zen) Valli at RMS kindly invited me onto his table for the Gala Dinner - Great company, Great food, though I think we rather missed out on the quiz.

The targets I had set myself for HOSPACE were very much surpassed and as a business producing event, the ROI is definitely there.

Oh, and just to round off the day…….after a great breakfast with Martin Chevalley from InnSpire, heading to the lift, I met Nile Rodgers, shook his hand, resisted the temptation to ask for a selfie, then headed home a very happy delegate.
