Horizon Chase Game Design Post-Mortem. Understanding Curves.

"Horizon Chase has some 90’s magic running under the hood. The magic is what makes the game run smoothly in older hardware, and it ensures that the game feels like one of the old racers, with parallel lines running fast in the ground and a car that’s somewhat stuck towards the track’s direction. Things like curves."  - Felipe Dal Molin (Game Designer)

Thanks Jason Huskie, I feel really proud to be part of the amazing team who worked (and is still working) on Horizon Chase. It seems impossible to measure such a huge amount of talent put together! Wish you happy holidays and an incredible 2016!

We can add excellent journalism to the long list of Jesús Fabre's long list of talents. It's no wonder every project he touches does so well! As for Horizon Chase, it has such a brilliant UX that at first glance it seems obvious or easy. But follow the process back to the drawing board and try to create a new layout for a responsive game that will be played on hundreds of different device specifications by many people with different physical abilities and needs....it's a staggering effort. A pinnacle of design and refinement in mobile apps.
