A design that minimizes waste by optimizing the use of available limestone boards.
The design project aims to minimize waste by optimizing the use of available limestone boards during the design and manufacturing process. This efficiency will contribute to a more sustainable production cycle, maximizing material usage and minimizing waste.
One primary goal was to develop a table design using recycled limestone from nearby quarries. This material choice ensures a reduced carbon imprint, supports local industries, and ensures responsible production.
Ingeniously, the arch-shaped legs are hewn from the leftover limestone after the round section. It defines a testament to resourcefulness and stability.
Sundown Talks is a round table discussion where experts in sustainable construction convene to exchange ideas and insights around the Hori-table. Through these conversations, Hori-zonte is crafting a lasting legacy that promises to leave a positive impact on the environment and future generations. It is a vital initiative that underscores their dedication to building a more sustainable future.
