Native American culture has captivated me since I can remember. I respect the language, culture, tribal music, clans, connection to earth, and the spirit of the people. The first department of American Indian Studies was founded at the University of Minnesota in 1969, and since then the Twin Cities has served as a catalyst for activism and a model for change for the rest of the country. This film was created by one of our my film alliance partners. Alexander directed and edited this film "Hopioid" which embraces indigenous women and the Ojibwe culture as a means to address the opiate epidemic. #opiodcrisis #ojibwe #native #women #culture #film #uav #dji
