Hope For Sanyu Babies Home.

During the festive season, the London Friends of Mothers’ Union continued their tradition of spreading love and joy to the children at Sanyu Babies Home. This year, the group brought gifts, shared cake, and emphasized the importance of supporting abandoned children, underscoring the Church’s role in caring for the vulnerable.

Every year, the London Friends of Mothers’ Union visit Sanyu Babies Home to put smiles on the faces of young ones. This year’s visit was marked by the presentation of gifts and sharing of cake with the children, creating moments of joy and connection.

A Call to Care for the Vulnerable

Barbara Nankya Mutagubya, the Executive Director of Sanyu Babies Home, welcomed the Mothers’ Union members and provided an update about the home. She noted that such visits demonstrate the Church’s responsibility in caring for vulnerable children and called on the community to follow this example.

“Such visits are a reminder of the Church’s responsibility to care for the vulnerable. They inspire hope and show that no child should feel abandoned,” said Barbara Nankya Mutagubya, Executive Director of Sanyu Babies Home.

Nalinya Elizabeth Sengaga, a member of the London Friends of Mothers’ Union Uganda, reiterated the group’s commitment to supporting the children every year. She highlighted the need for consistent care and resources for abandoned children.

“These children need a lot of support, and that is why we bring them gifts every single year,” said Nalinya Elizabeth Sengaga.

A Message of Hope and Responsibility

The London Friends of Mothers’ Union Uganda subscribe to Namirembe Diocese and were led by the President of Mothers’ Union Namirembe Diocese, Roseline Biingi Kawiso. In her message, she encouraged young mothers to cherish their children and work hard to provide for them instead of abandoning them.

“Young mothers should not throw away their babies but rather love them and work hard to provide for their needs,” urged Roseline Biingi Kawiso, President Mothers’ Union Namirembe Diocese.

She also called on capable individuals to extend support to the needy, especially during the festive season, as a reflection of love and compassion.

“Let us use this season to help the needy and spread kindness wherever we can,” she added.

The visit from the London Friends of Mothers’ Union serves as a reminder of the power of community, generosity, and the Church’s role in uplifting the vulnerable. Through their actions, they not only brought joy to the children but also inspired others to step up and make a difference.
