Hope & Inspiration for the Future of Revenue in APAC

Hope & Inspiration for the Future of Revenue in APAC

Last week I had the opportunity to meet with our exciting and growing team in Singapore as we kicked off our year together with a series of workshop and strategy meetings. While it is been nearly 5 years since I've visited Singapore it's also been more than 2 years since I took a long-haul business trip - something that became apparent as I planned my journey and throughout the week.?

?

Travelling to Singapore at the moment is not without admin. To get on the flight, I had to process no less than 8 pieces of admin - most of which I had to demonstrate at check-in to board. The excellent Singapore Airlines ground staff and crew were very tolerant of the process and everything was very well organised. There was an extensive checklist, clearly indicated Vaccinated Travel Lanes, easy-to-book PCR test on arrival as well as health declarations, a mandatory Trace app, travel insurances, and more. All of this had to be represented to the excellent Sofitel Singapore City Centre where I isolated for 4 hours until I got my negative PCR result back.?

?

What struck me so strongly throughout this process and the week itself was the patience and good nature of the Singaporeans themselves. Everyone wore their masks. Everyone signed in and out on the Trace app. Rules were respected and in a way that allowed everyone to get on with what they were doing. The city continues to grow. In just 5 years since I was last there, the skyline has dramatically changed. A steady influx of people has created a co-working and free working culture across the city.??

?

The city felt positive. Sitting on the balcony of the National Gallery, looking out over the Marina and the developing skyline; much of it built on land reclaimed from the sea you could feel a sense of opportunity and renewed hope for the future. This feeling was mirrored in the 4 days of meetings we enjoyed while I was there.?

?

South East Asia represents a huge opportunity for Duetto to bring our unique Revenue Strategy Platform to markets ready for the ability to manage and direct dynamic pricing and yield strategies as only our Open Pricing philosophy and approach allows. Our recent wins in the region, including the fabulous Dusit International and the exciting Lub'd group, show that the market is ready to shrug off the constraining fixed models of the past. As the excellent Boris Sertic, our customer from Banyan Tree, observed in our meeting, “It is the time for us to reclaim our relationship with our guests, to be truly flexible to different markets and adapt our strategies by looking ahead not (just) just to the past for guidance.”?

?

It felt good and right to be back in Singapore. We will grow our relationships in the region as we grow our team. Just last month we welcomed Elly Ji Linnegar to lead our sales efforts across South East Asia where she will be joined by David Goodman for India and the subcontinent and Christine Chang for Australia and New Zealand. Tasneem Mukadam and Iris Tan will continue to support our customers in deployment and success throughout. It's an exciting time for our Duettos - we will be there with them, with you our customers, and partners as the world opens up again and we get back to business!!!

?

As well as our regular visits we will also be present at several events in the region - why not join us at HSMAI ROC in June in Singapore and find out more? Speak to a member of our team or contact me directly for more on Duetto and our plans for the region!?
