Easter is an Event with a lot of analogies to business. Being both a Christian and in Business, I realise how much more Hope we all need in these difficult times:
- Jesus predicted his death and resurrection - but his followers didn't want to hear him. Similar to this, people in business want to hear what they want to hear: The good, the exciting, the glorious, the happy end. But not many are willing to put in the sacrifice, the hard work, the agony and the dark times.
- There was Good Friday before Resurrection Sunday: Good Friday did not look too good in the beginning as Jesus was put to the Cross. Not the end of what his followers had anticipated. But it was fully in the plan and necessary to finish the plan. In business, sometimes a dream has to die, you have to close parts of the business. It might feel like death, but it could be also the beginning of something bigger. It might also be necessary to let one part of the company "die", do discontinue a product or enterprise in order to streamline the rest of the operation. So, death is part of life.
- The Resurrection: All dark times have an expiry date. The depression ends, the war is over, the vaccine arrives etc. - Easter gives us hope, the triumph of good over evil. However, so often we lose the brightness and beauty of hope because of all the negativity around us. The key today is, to see clearly the "resurrection", to focus on the good and the hope, instead of the dark and gloomy.
So, HAPPY EASTER to you and your family! There is HOPE!

We should be honest and acting according the times, not all the days will be the best ones, but with a good collaborative team, we can achieve a lot of small victories every day until we reach the biggest ones. ???? 3 年Dear Christian Thanks for your notes about the Resurrection and business and really our lives as we go through its trials. Jesus brought life and hope to this world and really changed history. I have learned through my life experiences just what you described. When a door closes on us it brings sadness and sorrow and many emotions but the sun rises the next day and there is hope and new opportunities before us to reach for just as Jesus gives us hope through the Resurrection. It is a hard balancing act to be in this world and in the spirit of Christ at the same time but the joining of the two with Christian principles is really a hopeful message. I will always treasure our meeting in the Las Vegas CONEXPO so many years ago and our time working together and breaking bread together and getting to know your family.
