Relatives of captured Ukrainian soldiers say the Red Cross has “certain duties.” The Red Cross agrees. Lera Burlakova argues that they often can’t fulfill them.
Maxim Starchak demonstrates that whoever attacked the Kremlin, probably Ukraine, has understood the serious weaknesses in Russian air defenses.
Any policymaker negotiating with China needs to grasp the Marxist-Leninist thinking of its leaders. Michael Sheridan asserts that power counts, but scraps of paper don’t.
Limits on agricultural exports by Ukraine’s European allies are holding back its economic recovery. Kateryna Panasiuk and Mykyta Vorobiov demonstrate that this is making Ukraine more reliant on foreign aid.
