The strength of military families?

VetNet includes members with deep ties to the military, like Sean, who is a veteran, military spouse and brother to an active-duty service member. Sean’s military family background has shown him “resilience in action,” and he is proud to advocate for initiatives that support veterans and their families at Lincoln.?

Another member shares their journey as part of an Air Force family, describing the independence and confidence they gained as a military spouse. “Once my husband retired, our daughter married into the Air Force and our son enlisted right out of high school. We’re an Air Force family through and through.”??

Nora Jacobson, a VetNet member with a long family legacy of service, including a relative from the Civil War, highlights the pride in seeing the dedication of veteran colleagues at Lincoln. “This group has made me aware of how many veterans we have here. It makes me proud to work beside these outstanding folks.”?

Empowering each other in the workplace?

VetNet fosters a strong sense of community, enabling veterans and allies to support one another. Dennis Nichols, a Navy veteran and VetNet chair, speaks to the diversity of experiences in the U.S. military. “Working and succeeding with individuals from all races and religions across the country was a unique experience.” This commitment to inclusion carries forward in his work at Lincoln, where he enjoys connecting with veterans and allies to support initiatives across departments.?

VetNet creates a welcoming space for veterans transitioning into corporate life. “Being part of VetNet has been empowering,” Sean shares. “It’s a space to voice ideas and initiatives that make Lincoln an employer of choice for veterans and military families.”?

One member notes, “The group does positive things for others, especially the veteran community.” Through events and support initiatives, VetNet remains dedicated to uplifting both the internal Lincoln community and veterans everywhere.?
