Honoring Those Who Give So Much

As America's Independence Day approaches, please take a moment to remember the sacrifices our service members make each day to ensure our safety, security and freedoms.
I encourage you to celebrate this holiday by honoring those who've spent their lives serving our country, including their families. Many times we forget to thank the families of those that serve. It is not easy for them to be without their loved ones and in many ways they are the forgotten heroes in our country.
One of the many ways that we can give back is by donating to the USO Wishbook which sends select gifts to our troops that range from calls home, comfort packages when they are abroad and welcoming a hero home. Other options could be donating to Folds of Honor, hiring a veteran or volunteering to one of the many programs that support veterans as they transition to civilian life.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of our service men, women, their families, and to all of our veterans for all that you do, and have done for our country.
Make Every Moment Count!

8 年Yes US service people last defended your freedoms in 1945. Here is hoping this is not needed again. But they have had plenty of practice in case.
