Honoring Parkinson’s Awareness Month During a Challenging Time
Every April the Parkinson’s Foundation brings together the Parkinson’s disease (PD) community to raise awareness for the one million Americans living with the disease.
Understandably, right now most people are focused on staying safe through the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of our community is always vital to us. Now more than ever it is important that we champion for them, and help them plan for the challenges that Parkinson’s may present.
This Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we are encouraging the PD community to take actionable steps to #Plan4PD by providing them with an Awareness Month calendar with daily tips to better plan for PD at every stage of the disease. Our Awareness Month toolkit includes several additional ways to get involved, spread awareness and advocate for the PD community ― all from home.
During this unprecedented time, our team is steadily working remotely on new, exciting ways to bring new educational programs and information to those with PD and the care partners. While our spring events have evolved into virtual ones, our team is working tirelessly to continue supporting the PD community with the necessary tools and resources. We are here for you. Call our Helpline, staffed by specialists, at 1-800-4PD-INFO (473-4636) for all PD-related questions.
For us at the Parkinson’s Foundation, furthering research, care and education is a critical part of our mission to make life better for people with Parkinson’s. Bringing light to Parkinson’s Awareness Month allows us to help the PD community #Plan4PD and live better today. Learn more at Parkinson.org/Awareness.

1 年My husband who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease for 2 years at the age of 63 had all his symptoms reversed with Ayurveda medicine from naturalherbscentre. com after undergoing their Parkinson’s natural protocol. God Bless all Parkinson’s Caregivers. Stay Strong, take small moments throughout the day to thank yourself, to love your self, and pray to whatever faith, star, spiritual force you believe in and ask for strength. I can personally vouch for?these remedy but you would probably need to decide what works best for you.

1 年My grandma has Parkinson’s disease, she is about 75 years old it was detected 7 years ago. Right now it’s getting more difficult to live for her, because of stiff muscles she can’t even move. L-dopa and carbidopa medicines are given, but won"t give?much relief. She can"t eat food and the skin is damaging forming ganglia. I thought this might be the last stage and the medications she was given did not help at all, so I started to do alot of research on natural treatments and came across Parkinson’s Herbal Treatment from Health Natural Centre In Hawaii ( healthnaturalcentre.org ), the treatment has made a very huge difference for her. Her symptoms including body weakness and her tremors disappeared after few months on the treatment. She is getting active again since starting this treatment, she is able to walk again ( down the street and back ) and able to ride her treadmill again. God Bless all PD Caregivers. Stay Strong, take small moments throughout the day to thank yourself, to love your self, and pray to whatever faith, star, spiritual force you believe in and ask for strength.

2 年I was diagnosed 2 years ago at age 63. Symptoms were tremor in right leg, loss of handwriting ability,My normally beautiful cursive writing was now small cramped printing and soft voice. I also had difficulty rising from a seated position and have balance issues. I started out taking only Azilect, then Mirapex, and then Sinemet. Several months ago I started falling frequently, hence the reason for Sinemet. During the summer of 2021, I was introduced to Health Herbs Clinic and their effective Parkinson’s herbal protocol. This protocol relieved symptoms significantly, even better than the medications I was given. Visit www . healthherbsclinic . com , After First month on treatment, my tremors mysterious stopped, had improvement walking. After I completed the treatment, all symptoms were gone. I live a more productive life. I was fortunate to have the loving support of my husband and family. I make it a point to appreciate every day!
