Honoring Our Team Members This Labor Day
Employees are at the heart of every organization’s success – they come up with innovations, provide services, and give the best of themselves for companies and our country. That’s why each year, our country honors and celebrates the incredible work of employees on Labor Day. And this year, my employer, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, is especially pleased to celebrate the support our team members have given to the Tribe and enterprise.
While we are always deeply grateful for our team members and everything they do, this year is special. Despite the challenges the hospitality industry faced due to Covid over the past two years, our team members have thrived and helped us grow even stronger. In just a short time, we’ve opened up a new luxury resort and spa, expanded restaurants and gaming space, and a new theater.
We were also named a Great Place to Work for a second year in a row; a designation which is only possible when the majority of our team members give us strong feedback in the globally recognized eponymous survey. The results showed that a majority of team members believe this is a great place to work, they are proud to work here, and want to stay here for years to come.

Reading these results was humbling. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel have always committed to supporting the 7,300+ team members that drive our enterprise by helping them further their livelihoods and lifestyles. But to know that even during the turbulence of the past two years, our team members still feel this is a place where they want to make a long-term career, makes us proud.
So, this Labor Day, on behalf of everyone at the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at San Manuel, thank you to all of our team members for the work, dedication, and passion you demonstrate every day. You have made it possible for us to grow stronger, and we’re committed to honoring your labor, as we work together for years to come. ?
