Honoring Our Inspirational Mentors

Today,5th September 2023 is celebrated as Teachers Day. It's a day when the spark of inspiration can ignite in the hearts of students, leading to a sense of empowerment and motivation that can't be matched with any other occasion. I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the wisdom and guidance of Shri Dongreji Maharaj and Dattatreya Bhagwaan. They have been my pillars of strength, my sources of inspiration, and my mentors in life's journey.?

Late. Shri Dongreji Maharaj was not just a teacher to me; he was my spiritual luminary whose wisdom transcended ordinary boundaries. His teachings continue to inspire me still today are not confined to the realm of spirituality; The teachings were not confined to the realm of spirituality; they encompassed life itself. Maharaj's emphasis on compassion, selflessness, and the pursuit of inner peace left an indelible mark on my heart. I learned that true success goes beyond material achievements; it lies in the richness of one's character and the depth of one's compassion.?

It was in 1968 when I was just a diamond cutter and Shri Dongreji Maharaj visited Surat to conduct a Bhagwad Katha with.?Approximately 30,000 had gathered to attend the same.. I attended the Katha in the afternoon, and it was a life-altering experience.?

I distinctly recall the moment when Shri Dongreji Maharaj was addressing a gathering. He spoke with a profound wisdom that resonated deeply within me. He asked the audience ““Aapko Maan Chaiye?” (Do you like getting respect?). Then you should start giving respect to others. You need to understand that the universe operates on a simple principle – you will receive what you give. If you give respect, you will get respect. If you have faith in your heart, you will find faith in your life.” From that moment until this day, I can proudly say that I have never experienced disrespect or dishonor from anyone. Shri Dongreji Maharaj's teachings instilled in me the belief that I had conquered the world. His words taught me that the power of faith and positive intentions can shape one's destiny.?

In the journey of life, I've had the privilege of encountering many teachers and mentors, each imparting valuable lessons. His teachings, especially the concept of the "24 Gurus," have left an indelible mark on my soul. Dattatreya Bhagwaan , a revered spiritual figure in Hinduism and Jainism, shared his wisdom through a unique lens – the natural world around us. He saw every element of nature as a teacher, a source of enlightenment. These 24 Gurus of Datatreya Bhagwaan ?have been an inspiration for me, but I believe we have thousands of Gurus. We always learn something or the other from everyone we encounter.?

These teachings from the Gurus of Dattatreya Bhagwaan ?have become an integral part of my life. They emphasize the profound wisdom that surrounds us in nature and guide us toward virtues like patience, detachment, selflessness, and adaptability. Through these lessons, we can journey towards spiritual enlightenment and live a life of purpose and meaning.?

Let us all remember and honor the teachers who have touched our lives, just as Shri Dongreji Maharaj and Dattatreya Bhagwaan have touched mine. May their wisdom continue to guide us towards a brighter and more compassionate future. ?
